The Wildland Urban Interface Foundation studies how people inhabit and govern shared landscapes at the edge. With an emphasis on the local and regional, we document what works, use these examples to educate others, support the institutions that work well for the benefit of the public, and ask what it means to be native to the places where human settlement meets wild land.
